🌺 Deen and Dunya Together – Part 4: The True Journey of Life
When a person sets out on a journey, it is necessary to carry the essentials—protection, food, and water. Especially in long travels, we plan ahead to ensure success and safety.
Life is also a journey—
And its final destination is Allah.
Imagine this: You have traveled far, gone through pain and struggle, but when you finally reach your destination… you realize you forgot the key to enter. And there is no way back.
What a loss that would be!
This is exactly what our journey of life is like.
We are all heading towards Allah, but the key to reaching Him is:
Our actions, His pleasure, and living the way of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
If we live our whole life traveling without carrying this key with us, then truly, the journey will go to waste.
---
🎯 The Goal of This Journey: Allah’s Pleasure
Yes, we are all on this journey.
But only those will reach the destination who walk with good deeds, taqwa, truthfulness, patience, and the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet ﷺ.
If pleasing Allah is not our goal, then this entire journey of life will be in vain.

🛑 The Greatest Obstacle on the Path: Shaytan
This journey has an enemy —
Shaytan, who will never let us complete it with success.
He has hated us since the beginning, since the time of Adam (A.S.).
This is an invisible war rooted in jealousy.
The Qur'an says:
> “Indeed Shaytan is your enemy, so take him as an enemy.”
(Surah Fatir, Ayah 6)
Shaytan made a vow to Allah:
> “I will surely mislead them...”
(Surah Saad, Ayah 82)
But Allah responded:
> “Indeed, My servants—no authority will you have over them.”
“You will have no power over My sincere worshippers.”
(Surah Al-Hijr, Ayah 40)
Shaytan got Adam (A.S.) expelled from Jannah.
But when Adam repented, Allah forgave him —
And made this world the path back to Jannah.
---
💡 Now the question is:
❓ Can we complete this journey successfully?
✅ Yes — if we stay connected to our Lord.
❓ Can we reach Allah’s pleasure?
✅ Definitely — with sincerity and good actions.
❓ Can we defeat Shaytan?
✅ Yes — through heartfelt repentance and walking the straight path.
❓ Are we alone in this journey?
❌ No! Our Lord, the Qur’an, and the Sunnah are our companions.

🕊 Allah’s Love vs. Shaytan’s Deception
Often, when a person falls into sins, Shaytan quickly takes the chance.
He whispers in the heart:
“Allah is now angry with you... You’re no longer worthy... There’s no way back…”
This is his biggest lie.
Because despair is an even greater sin than sin itself.
Allah says in the Qur’an:
> “Say, O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins.”
(Surah Az-Zumar, Ayah 53)
---
🌿 A Story: The Worshipper and the Sinner
Imam Abdullah ibn Mubarak (R.A) narrated:
A pious worshipper once saw a sinful young man doing wrong and said with disgust:
“You will never enter Paradise!”
This broke the young man’s heart.
Shaytan took over his thoughts: “You are sinful. Allah is angry with you. There’s no hope now.”
And he fell deeper into sin.
That night, the worshipper had a dream. He was told:
“You made My servant lose hope in My mercy. I have forgiven him—and I have rejected all your deeds.”
This story teaches us:
Allah’s mercy is far beyond what anyone can imagine.
Even the most sinful person, if they return sincerely, will be forgiven by Allah.
---
🕊 Allah’s Love Is Greater Than a Mother’s Love
Allah compares His love to the love of a mother.
No matter how much a child disobeys or distances from his mother, she will still embrace him.
But Allah’s love is 70 times greater than a mother’s.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
> “Allah loves His servant even when he sins, if he returns to Him in repentance.”
(Sahih Muslim)
Then how can we ever lose hope?
Just take one step toward Allah —
And He will come rushing toward you with His mercy.
---
🌈 Today, Make a Decision
If your heart says you’re on Allah’s path — be grateful.
If your heart says you’re lost — don’t despair.
Repent and return to Him.
Wherever you are in your journey, whatever stage you're in — just turn back to your Lord.
He is waiting with open arms and infinite mercy.
---
🕌 Small Steps, Great Destination
We don’t need a separate life to connect with Allah —
He is already with us. He lives in our hearts.
Pray your five daily prayers.
Remember Allah in your daily routine.
Make small efforts for His pleasure.
Follow the Sunnah.
Repent sincerely.
These are the “keys” that unlock the doors of Paradise.
Don’t wait to become perfect before turning to Allah.
It’s like saying,
“I’ll bathe only after I’m already clean.”
That’s impossible!
Only pure water can cleanse you —
Just like only Allah can cleanse your heart.
You don’t become righteous before you return to Allah —
You become righteous after returning to Him.
Everything else is Shaytan’s deception.
And in shaa Allah, we will defeat him on this journey —
And succeed with the help and mercy of our Lord.
---

Grant us success in both Deen and Dunya. Ameen.”
