Jealousy — A Path to Destruction
🌿 Deen and Dunya Together: Where Does Our True Journey Begin?
Is jealousy the reason behind Shaytan’s downfall?
Can jealousy also become the reason for our own destruction?
✨ The Creation of Man and Allah’s Divine Purpose
When we intend to walk the path of Deen and Dunya together, the first thing we must understand is:
Why was this world created?
Allah did not create this universe without purpose.
He gave the status of Ashraf-ul-Makhluqat (the most honored of creation) to human beings — but why?
This is the very first question that gives the right direction to our journey.

📖 The Creation of Adam (AS) and the Angels’ Test
When Allah created Adam (AS), He bestowed upon him knowledge —
a kind of knowledge that even the angels did not possess.
Allah said to the angels:
> "And He taught Adam the names — all of them. Then He showed them to the angels and said, 'Inform Me of the names of these, if you are truthful.'"
(Surah Al-Baqarah: 31)
The angels replied:
> "They said: Glory be to You! We have no knowledge except what You have taught us. Indeed, it is You who is the All-Knowing, the All-Wise."
(Surah Al-Baqarah: 32)
Then Allah told Adam (AS) to tell the names, and when he did,
Allah commanded the angels to prostrate before him.
All prostrated — except Iblis, who refused.
---
😈 Shaytan’s Refusal and the Birth of Jealousy
Iblis said:
> "I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay."
Here lies a very important point:
Shaytan was not a denier of Allah. In fact, he was once a great worshipper —
but he fell into pride and jealousy.
Allah then said:
> "Then get out! Verily, you are accursed."
And this is where the world’s first disease — jealousy — was born.
---
🔥 Jealousy: A Hidden Fire
Our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
> "Jealousy eats away good deeds just like fire eats away wood."
Shaytan, burning with jealousy, became deprived of Allah’s mercy.
And today, that same jealousy can destroy us too.
---
❓ Are We Also Suffering From Jealousy?
Let’s reflect on our own lives:
Do we burn inside when we see someone else succeed?
Do we feel unhappy from our hearts?
Do we secretly wish that the other person falls?
If the answer is "yes" —
then know that we are walking on Shaytan’s path.
---
🤲 An Easy Way to Cure Jealousy
The cure to this disease:
Whenever you feel jealous, say from your heart:
"MashaAllah"
And make this dua:
> "Ya Allah! Just as You have blessed them, bless me too from Your mercy."
This small act can make you beloved in the eyes of Allah.
---
🛡️ Shaytan’s Weapon: Jealousy
Shaytan is still our enemy today.
Just as he himself burned in jealousy and became distant from Allah’s mercy,
he now wants to make us distant from Deen and from Allah too.
---
🌸 A Final Supplication
> "Ya Allah! Protect us from the jealousy, whispers, and traps of Shaytan.
Grant us guidance, patience, and balance. Ameen Ya Rabb al-Alameen!"
---
💡 A Message for You
If you want your journey of Deen and Dunya to succeed,
then first — recognize the Shaytan within you.
And defeat him — through repentance, duas, and a soft heart.
This is the real jihad (struggle).
